Oslo based artist Johanna Strikwerda explores movement on both canvas and paper based work.
With roots in a musical family and growing up in the country side of the Netherlands surrounded by the elements, her art work is inspired by sound and nature and an interpretation led by body movement, intuition and spontaneity. Creating a visual language of lines and colours that is under constant development.
“Her paintings evoke rather than define, prompting the viewers to co-create meaning and to undertake an ever-expanding exploration of their own”
